We are running a hosted enterprise instance with Discourse.org and have the Real Name plugin installed.
Recently we noticed that some users do not have their name appear near the username on posts. Users are all consistently configured.
I first reported this issue to Discourse. They think the issue may be with the plugin’s support for the new virtual dom.
OK, I will check it. Use the previous Discourse version for now.
How do you safely rollback discourse?
We opted to not rollback our instance.
Any update from the developer on this? Issue was reported over a month ago…
I think the developer ditched this project, I sent him multiple PMs but no response.
The plugin is discontinued because its functionality has been added to the Discourse core.
Look for the «full name required» and «enable names» options in the Discourse’s backend on the «Users» tab.
