How to set up an Access Key for Amazon S3 bucket

Step 1.

Go to Amazon «Identity and Access Management» page.

Step 2.

Select «Users» from left menu:

Step 3.

Press «Create New Users» button on a new screen:

Step 4.

Enter a new user name and press «Create» button at the bottom right corner:

Step 5.

Press «Download Credentials» button:

Step 6.

Make sure that credentials are downloaded and then press «Close» link:

Step 7.

You will be redirected to the Dashboard screen.
Select «Groups» from left menu and press the «Create New Group» button:

Step 8.

Set group name and press «Next Step» button:

Step 9.

You will be redirected to the «Attach Policy» screen.
Choose «AmazonS3FullAccess» policy and press the «Next Step» button:

Step 10.

You will be redirected to the «Review» screen.
Just press the «Create Group» button:

Step 11.

You will be redirected to the group list.
Click on the group you have just created:

Step 12.

The group’s details page will be opened.
Press the «Add Users to Group» button:

Step 13.

The user list will be opened.
Select the user you have created on Step 3 and press «Add Users» button:

Step 14.

You have successfully set up an Access Key.
Now you can review it in file you have downloaded on Step 5:

Step 15.

The file credentials.csv contains «Access Key Id» and «Secret Access Key».
You will use them to set up your Discourse backup.
